When you are going to leading a team, you are a leader then. A leader is a person who leads a group of people with a vision of reaching a target point/position or achieving a goal. 

A leader owns leadership qualities (honesty, kind, positive attitude, responsible, excellent communication, reasonable decision-making capabilities confidence, enthusiasm, delegate, commitment, transparency, creativity, and so on) that make him unique from the other member of his team and define a good team leader. 

He manages his people to perform their duties properly to achieve the goal by motivating them. 
While leading a team, you will face various situations and different personalities and opinions that can act as a barrier on your way. 

Acquire the leadership qualities within you and follow the ways to lead your team effectively:

1. Know your team members:


A good team leader is capable of leading his team effectively. To be a good team leader, you have to spend enough time to observe your team members. Then you will know the individual’s quality and capability. 

With the help of that clear information, you can correctly decide who should do what and who may need help. Distribution of work is essential for achieving the goal. 

If the team has been organized before you are assigned, make a trial to judge them and make a proper correction if needed.

2. Build and keep communication:


Once your team is made, your first task is to build a communication frame to maintain a good relationship with them. It will help you to judge the progress and identify the risks and problems.

 Members will find you are interested in them and there will be more engaged in the work. Be kind, sincere to your team. Make them encouraged and a happy team.

3. Know your goal:


Get a clear concept about your vision and set up a mission to achieve that. If you are assigned/selected for that, know details from your boss. If it is your own business or you are an entrepreneur, you already have a chosen goal. 
 

4. Follow management strategy:


Set a consistent and complete management framework. Don’t change your steps without an emergency, and don’t make your people confused.

5. Deliver update information to the team:


Team members should know about the goal and the current strategies. They need guidance from their leader. It will help them to break any obstacle that can stand on the way.

They should feel that their leader has confidence in their ability to perform and make a perfect decision.

6. When you are the boss also:


Any person in charge, like the manager, the CEO, departmental head, president of a club/organization, founder of a firm, is a leader. Everywhere there is a need for learning to manage and perfect leadership.

The combination of leadership qualities and positional power accelerates the ability to retain employees with great enthusiasm. Inspire them and become a model for them.

7. Criticize constructively only:


Do it just in a friendly manner. Constructive criticism includes both positive and negative feedback about the whole work process, an individual’s work performance, and what are corrections should be made for achieving the goal. 

Remember, a leader can also learn from his team or others.

8. Reward improvement:


You can do that by praising the person or the whole team for their better performance leading to an improvement. Psychology says that it will significantly inspire them to do their work more effectively and entirely rather than negative actions like getting angry or giving threats.

9. Enjoy leading your team:


What about youיִ you will lose your enthusiasm if you don’t enjoy leading your team. It seems challenging now. Ending up with achieving success will reward you with great feelings.
